My name is Bennett Schliesser, and I am a first-year Computer Science, Economics, and Mathematics triple major at the University of Nebraska Omaha. I also received the Scott Scholarship, the most prestigious scholarship offered by the University of Nebraska system.
I attended Bellevue East High School from August 2019 to May 2022, participating primarily in Quiz Bowl, Science Olympiad, Academic Decathlon, Economics Challenge, and Mu Alpha Theta. Outside of school, I enjoy listening to all types of music, watching movies, and learning foreign languages.
I chose my current majors because I've always enjoyed computer science and economics. Ever since I was introduced to both my freshman year of high school, I continued to be enthralled with the subjects. I wanted to add additional studies to supplement both economics and computer science, so I chose math, as it has a significant amount of overlap with both.
